Keeping everyone on the same page throughout a project can be challenging. Team members come to the project with different perspectives and personalities, and it can take a lot of effort to get everyone moving in the same direction. Impactor.app is on a mission to provide solutions for collaboration and helps build projects around motivated team members to ensure projects succeed!

It’s hard to believe it was just in November, 2023, that we released Version 1.0. Since then, we’ve onboarded small and large teams working on delivering transformative projects across different sectors – just check out our Case Studies section. These early adopters have provided our team valuable insights into what makes successful collaborations, whether it is in the public sector or a large pharmaceutical company. 

Impactor.app was founded in industry and we built the first version based on direct customer feedback, with fan following when we launched at Canada’s largest UX conference. We continue that tradition and culture of being user centric by delivering a product roadmap that combines direct industry and user feedback, to fill gaps in the market that have been contributing to failed projects for far too long!

So what have we learned in the past few months, since our launch and what’s new in Version 1.1? 


Fast, effective collaborations

One of the things we’ve been tracking is time from brainstorming to decision. We had established a baseline before Impactor.app and over the past few months we have compared how our solution has improved that activity. I am happy to announce that with Imactor.app, teams have successfully cut down on meeting time by 80%, from the first brainstorm or ideation meeting to the one where a decision is reached!

To make it even easier to run ideation, prioritization, and decision-making activities, Version 1.1 provides a fast and accessible way to achieve user goals. Now, users can log into Impactor.app and jump into any one of these activities with a single click.

Ideate powered by AI

Everything begins with an “idea”. With ideation, quantity and quality, both matter. So it’s important to explore a problem or a solution space from as many perspectives as possible. Whether you’re ideating on your own or with a team, Impactor.app is a powerful tool to generate new ideas, quickly, and without distraction. 

 

A single input keeps everyone focused, and when you run out ideas, simply click on “Inspire Me”. Our AI Assistant will review your topic and provide prompts to help you generate out-of-the-box thinking!

The problem with lots of ideas is that you have to quickly find themes and groups that each idea belongs to, and develop a common statement. Users have described Impactor.app’s ability to do this, “easy and delightful!”. 

 

Once you have all the ideas on the board, simply select similar ideas and click “Group”. You can write your own group description or title, or click on “Generate”. Impactor.app will review every statement in the group and come up with a clear, short description that summarizes each and every idea. 

 

Once you click “Group”, all the original ideas are grouped under the new parent statement, so that nothing is ever lost. Want to take something out of a group? Just select it, and click “Ungroup”.

Getting everyone on the same page requires that everyone agrees on the prioritization of things. If anyone doesn’t agree, you have created a potential failure point because people typically do what they feel motivated to do. So it’s really important to understand what your team sees as value and what they consider as the level of effort needed for each idea being considered. 

 

 Version 1.1 makes prioritization with your team as easy as a click. You can even prioritize on the fly, especially if your team is distributed across different geographies without the back-and-forth of meeting scheduling. 

 

Simply add the list of things that need to be prioritized. Invite everyone who needs to have a say and ask them to add their scores. Impactor.app does the rest! Instantly you will see the priority of things, articulated as 1-2-3…

Decide with confidence

Decisions are important. They set the course of every project. Even “indecision” is a decision that will impact the outcomes of what you’re doing. Once you’ve made a decision, it’s important for everyone to know what that decision was and be able to come back to it, when in doubt. 

 

Impactor.app makes it easy to have discussions and communicate the decisions that are made as a result. However, you choose to get to things you want to decide between – perhaps based on prioritization – you simply select the items that you want to communicate as a decision and click “Decide”. In an instant, everyone receives a notification on their screen telling them what has been decided. 

 

Everytime, anyone is unsure what was decided, or just wants to confirm, they can come back to Impactor.app and review the decision.
